Sad songs for happy people (a collection of rough and ready early live demos).

by Boss Caine

So as a thank you for all your support at the end of the year here are some VERY early demos. They are NOT high quality recordings OR performances. What they are is an insight to the sound of Boss Caine coming together. These tracks were recorded LIVE as they were played by a group of friends who were just getting to know each other musically and socially. There are bum notes here, bits out of time there, improvised sections all over the place, these are in essence warts and all demos recorded on a handful of overhead mics in a rehearsal room as the songs started to take shape, the masters of which have long since been lost so we are unable to tweak them in any way. This is pretty much how it was on the day way back when. Some of these have appeared on other releases in MUCH more polished form since, and a couple are unreleased except for the initial VERY limited run of CDs we sold at the early gigs.
We hope you can enjoy them for what they are. And thanks again for being with us this far along the way.
Next year promises a load more new stuff so DO stay tuned!
All the best for the new year.

Big love,

Daniel Lucas and the Boss Caine crew

On these recordings I was joined by Mike Newsham, Mark Wynn, Adam Rogowski, Andy Gaines, and Simon Edwards.
A big thanks to all of them for their time, talents and friendship always.
